About WCI

Empowering women through technology education, mentorship, and community building

Our Mission & Vision

WCI was founded on the belief that every human deserves the opportunity to build a rewarding career in technology. In a rapidly evolving digital landscape, we recognized the critical need to bridge the genders gap in tech and create pathways for youths to thrive in this dynamic industry.

Our mission is to democratize tech education by providing comprehensive, accessible, and industry-relevant programs that equip youths with the skills, confidence, and network needed to succeed in technology roles. We believe that diversity drives innovation, and by empowering more youths to enter and lead in tech, we're not just changing individual lives—we're transforming the entire technology ecosystem.

Through our carefully designed curriculum, mentorship programs, and supportive community, WCI has become a catalyst for change, helping thousands of youth transition into tech careers and become leaders in their fields.

Our Mission

To bridge the genders gap in technology by providing youths with the education, resources, and community support needed to build successful careers in tech.

Our Core Values

Quality Education

We believe in providing industry-relevant, up-to-date curriculum that prepares our students for real-world challenges. Our programs are designed by tech experts and continuously updated to reflect the latest industry trends.

Inclusive Community

We foster a supportive, collaborative environment where youths can learn, grow, and thrive together. Our community extends beyond the classroom, providing lifelong connections and networking opportunities.

Career Transformation

We're committed to helping our students achieve meaningful career outcomes. From resume building to interview preparation and job placement, we support every step of the journey.

Our Story

WCI(Walgab Career institutes) began in 2019 as a small community initiative when our founder, Adewale Adeniyi, noticed the significant gender disparity in his computer science classes and later in his professional tech career. What started as weekend coding workshops in a local community center has grown into a comprehensive tech education platform serving thousands of youth worldwide.

Our journey has been marked by continuous growth and adaptation to the evolving tech landscape. We've expanded from basic coding classes to offering full-stack development, data science, UX/UI design, cybersecurity, and digital marketing programs. Each new program was developed in response to industry demand and our students' career aspirations.

What sets WCI apart is our holistic approach to tech education. We don't just teach technical skills; we provide career coaching, mentorship, soft skills development, and community building. Our alumni network has become one of our greatest assets, with graduates returning as mentors, guest speakers, and hiring managers for new students.

Today, WCI stands as a testament to what's possible when youths support youths in technology. We've helped career-changers, recent graduates, and youths returning to the workforce after breaks to build successful tech careers. Our impact extends beyond individual success stories to creating a more diverse and inclusive tech industry overall.
